Dr. Dimitrios Gounopoulos currently serves as Professor of Accounting & Finance at the University of Bath and the Head of Department (Research) in the Accounting and Finance Group of the School of Management. Prior to joining Bath, Prof. Gounopoulos has held many positions in other UK Universities. His main Research Interest lies in the areas of International Accounting and Corporate Finance.

He is an expert in initial public offerings (IPOs) and his work has been presented in numerous global conferences while his papers have been cited widely. His research has received excessive and continuous media attention with special features in top tier media platforms in the US and the UK.

Professor Gounopoulos is a visiting-academic in several Business Schools and is an independent IPOs Consultant – strongly linked with global markets including London and Amsterdam Stock Exchanges.
